    With this type, hair loss is gradual due to the use of certain medications like radiation or chemotherapy.

    • Tinea Capitis

    Hair loss can be caused by a fungal infection. Although this condition is not permanent, it can be reversed as your doctor will give you medications to treat the infection.

    • Cicatricial Alopecia

    This type of hair loss is caused by the inflammatory destruction of hair follicles which happens due to the formation of scar tissues.

    This is the most common type of hair loss which results in small patches.

    Alopecia Areata Totalis

    In this case, hair loss occurs all over the scalp.

    Alopecia Areata Universalis

    Although this is a very rare form of hair loss, which affects the entire body and the scalp.
